At VoltageVault.co.uk, I take pride in being transparent and honest with every listing. As a private seller—not a retailer—I do not operate under business consumer return policies. However, I still believe in treating others with fairness and empathy.

General Return Philosophy

All items sold through this site are offered in “as-is” condition. The majority are second-hand, pre-owned, or refurbished. These items often have cosmetic blemishes or minor flaws from prior use, which are considered part of their character and clearly reflected in the listings.

Since this is a personal initiative:

  • I am not obligated under UK consumer legislation to accept returns.
  • I do not offer a blanket “change-of-mind” or no-questions-asked refund policy like commercial retailers.
  • I am not registered for VAT or subject to distance selling regulations.

Exceptions — When Returns May Be Accepted

Although returns are generally not accepted, I do allow for exceptions in rare and specific situations:

  • Significantly Not as Described: If an item arrives and is substantially different from the listing description.
  • Damage in Transit: If an item arrives visibly damaged and you report it within 48 hours with photographic proof.
  • Listing Error: If I have accidentally misrepresented a key detail about the item that affects its usability or value.

Return Process

If you believe your situation qualifies for a return:

  1. Contact me within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Provide a clear explanation and photos if applicable.
  3. If approved:
    • The buyer is responsible for return shipping (unless agreed otherwise).
    • Returned items must be in original condition.
    • Refunds are processed only after inspection.

Serial Number & Security Marking

For fraud prevention,the serial or unique identification number of all eligible items is recorded at the point of dispatch. Furthermore, certain products may be discreetly security marked. These measures are in place to protect both voltagevault.co.uk and our customers from fraudulent returns, such as the submission of personal, used, or damaged items that were not originally purchased from VoltageVault.co.uk.

To minimise misunderstandings:

  • Please read all descriptions carefully.
  • Study the photos closely.
  • Ask questions before completing your purchase.

While I can’t offer commercial-style return guarantees, I strive to handle every concern with integrity. If something goes wrong, please reach out—I'm here to resolve issues personally and fairly.

Delivery to the Scottish Highlands
VoltageVault.co.uk currently does not offer standard delivery to certain remote areas within the Scottish Highlands. We will, however, make reasonable efforts to accommodate orders to these locations on a case-by-case basis. Please note that delivery to remote locations may be subject to additional charges, and delivery times cannot be guaranteed. VoltageVault.co.uk reserves the right to refuse delivery if logistical constraints prevent safe or timely fulfilment.
